WHERE IN THE WORLD
A weekend escape to Hungary’s capital meant a stay in the beautiful Corinthia Hotel. First opened in 1896 as the Grand Hotel Royal, it remains among the grandest in the city. Meticulously renovated, the hotel’s rich history blends seamlessly with state-of-the-art features while retaining all the charm of 19th Century Budapest. With Executive Suites overlooking the charming restaurant courtyard, the Corinthia provided the perfect base from which to explore the city.
THE REASON WHY
Lifestyle’s Amy Hulley and Spencer Brown hopped on a plane for the weekend to explore the incredible array of event spaces available in Budapest.
THE STAR DUST
“The River Cruise on our first evening was the best way to see Budapest; all the Capital’s landmarks are illuminated at night and it’s possible to pay to have the lights extended past their normal switch off time! The hotel was host to a wedding fair during our time there so we dined on delicious tasting menus for our entire stay – such a treat! We saw some beautiful venues; the wealth of history and antiquity coupled with incredible value for money makes Budapest our next intended party place!”
THE WORLD SAID
“Take me back to the ruin bars of Budapest and the shots of Pàlinka which fuelled our weekend!”
