WHERE IN THE WORLD
CHILE, SOUTH AMERICA
From the towering volcanic peaks of the Andes to the ancient forests of the Lake District, Chile is a country of mammoth diversity and beauty. Travel by Lillingston’s Celine can attest to this having just returned from an extensive trip from Patagonia through the wine country and out to the Atacama desert.
THE REASON WHY
“Few South American countries can compete with Chile when it comes to its epic diversity of landscapes and adventure opportunities; where else can you climb an active volcano, trek through untamed terrain, surf in world-class waves or sample some of the world’s best wine?”
THE STAR DUST
To be surrounded by wildlife; condors flying overhead, lama and Patagonian horses running wild and jaguars sloping over the hills. The landscapes completely change within even the shortest space of time. This is also the place to go to get away from everything and everyone. Most of the time you will find yourself in the fresh, clean air with only a lama to talk to. Snow-capped mountains, desert, lakes, lush wine country…Watching the Milky Way in the Atacama desert was the ultimate stardust of the trip. Feeling as though you can touch the moon and reach up and snatch a star had me totally spellbound and star-struck (pun intended)!
THE WORLD SAID
“If you love wild life, unparalleled landscapes and great wine then Chile is the place for you. It’s the best kept secret in Latin America!”
